The government shuts down on March 14 unless Congress passes a new spending bill. Republicans need Democratic votes to pass anything, but they’re pushing a budget that slashes essential programs, attacks basic rights, and hands unchecked power over to Trump, Elon Musk, and their billionaire allies.

Democrats must not fold. They must use their leverage, hold the line, and use every procedural tool available to delay and defy the Trump-Musk coup.

CALL NOW: Tell Senate Democrats to Use Their Leverage in the Government Funding Fight to Stop the Trump-Musk Coup

@indivisibleteam another issue with Elon Musk is his neurodivergency (asbergets) doesnt allow for basic human emotions and empathy. It be a very hyped up brain for machinery or mechanical efficiency, and things like going to Mars, but not for ordinary human lives and values.

@aliceonboard @indivisibleteam this is NOT true. Neurodivergence doesn't prevent empathy or other human emotions. Psychopathy and narcissism do. There are plenty of neurodivergent people who have perfectly well-functioning emotions. Blaming musk's behavior on neurodivergence is damaging to the many, many good people who are neurodivergent.

Also, musk is no genius or inventor, he just takes credit for other people's work and ideas.

@jamesmarshall @aliceonboard @indivisibleteam I strongly suspect Musk is a neurotypical liar and attention seeker

@indivisibleteam
On #MeetTheRepublicans this morning, host #KristenWelker asked Sen #Booker if he/#Democrats would "vote for a #shutdown" (as if it is OUR job to save #Republicans from themselves.)

#Booker tried to stress how he is "only one of 46 other Democrats in the Senate", but Welker continued to push him until he conceded that Dems would not allow #Republicans to #shutdown the gov't (again.)

Funny how she never pushed her first guest, Sen #MarQuain Mullen, if HE would shutdown the gov.

If the #Democrats shut down the government, then #trump and the #maga will blame them for any economic issues.

@indivisibleteam Shut it all down. First time in my life saying that and I don’t say it lightly. Most of the big caveats that have made it so important to keep the government from shutting down in the past, they’ve already made those things happen. Shut it down. Let Trump go down as the first president in however many decades to preside over a complete shutdown.
