Michael U@boysmithers thanks! One flexible option is to use velocity - turn off velocity changing the volume and set it to sample start instead.
You can use that trick lots of ways - vocal chops, glitchy riffs, a kind of bespoke chunky timestretch, etc. Fun for the whole family!
