I don't understand why it's not socially acceptable to choose to be nocturnal. The angry hot orb is gone, my internet is fast, everyone is finally shutting up, what's not to like?

@cmconseils

My girl! βœ‹ You night owls are my people. People look down on us because if forced under threat of waterboarding to function in the am we look like we've been the victims of a crime and are still in shock!
Hate it!

@cmconseils My dad made a career of it. I didn't see him a lot. When I did, he was often very angry. Your mileage may vary.
@cmconseils You may have a future in the 3rd shift.
@cmconseils Owwww I'm definitely a night owl. I go to bed halfway through the afternoon, wake just before midnight, and I enjoy the peace and calm. Plus, the 24/7 gym is less busy then, which is a huge win as well!
It does mean that I need to try to schedule important things in the morning or very early afternoon. But hey, if it works... 😊

@cmconseils I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that being nocturnal will become more acceptable (though not totally acceptable everywhere) as global warming increases, especially during the Summer. And I do mean the warming part of climate change, not other elements such as changing patterns of storms, drought, and such.

I've already gotten into the habit of doing errands such as grocery shopping before 9:00 am or after 7:00 pm during the Summer.

@cmconseils @paco definitely agree, I’d always rather stay up late than wake up early

@CarpeDiemT3ch @cmconseils @paco

When not constrained by a job, my default is ~10am-2am waking hours.
With work it's 7:50am-11pm...and I frequently have to take a mid-afternoon nap to survive!

@cmconseils I wrote almost all of my master's thesis between 10pm and 5am each day.
Nowadays 6am is when I have to get up for work.... 😴

@cmconseils

As a introvert being a night owl is natural mainly because I know no one that will come to my door at my apartment and also because of overnight severe weather spring through fall.

@cmconseils
Another advantage: nobody knows what time to contact you!
@cmconseils Think i've progressed from your standard night owl to just pure vampyre (minus the blood thirst, its mainly biscuits i seek)
@cmconseils Had to think of the manga/anime Call of the Night
@cmconseils Literally the best part of when I used to work overnights. Hide away from the big burny thing, work when there aren't tons of people to deal with. It was nice.
@cmconseils Get a night job and you'll be happy! :) Seriously, I worked the night shift at an Amazon warehouse and I loved it. The world is so quiet at that time.

@cmconseils

Exactly! Plus all the cool night animals are out and about!
