PV2.0 update:

The Podverse API work is ~80% finished.

This week I've spent most of my time writing the new Playlists feature.

Here are some improvements you can expect PV2.0:

1) The ability to add episodes, chapters, clips to playlists.

2) The ability to add items from your custom "add by RSS" feeds to playlists.

3) Multiple privacy settings. Playlists can be public, only with link, or private.

4) Improvements to scalability which should allow playlists to support thousands+ items.

5) The ability to make medium-specific playlists. For example, you could make a playlist that any type of item can be added to, or one that is just for podcasts, or just for music, or videos, etc.

Next on my list is the improved Queue /Now Playing / History handling. It will have a lot of similarities to the new Playlist feature.
