His ministry, #WordOnFire, actually sued #Commonweal magazine for an article which compares his comment to a #DonaldTrump one. He's trying to be like too many #priests nowadays, taking this weird impossible #objectivity and #bothsidesism. I like and respect #RobertBarron a lot and encourage him to do more, and speak out more.
There is some nuance about #BishopRobertBarron's comments about #transgenderyouth restrictions. Children ought to be comfortable with themselves and their own bodies. Like a lot of #pilgrimages, #retreats, and #vocations, #transition requires #discernment. But the way he worded his statement just draws the bigots in who aren't going to consider that distinction. Barron's ministry has been great for me as a progressive who has strife with church tradition, but he's now becoming a yes man...
