Surfacing for two points before I crawl back into my non-verbal hidey hole:
1) I am obviously having a really rough week
2) ya'll are the glitter in my shit storm - small little sparkles in the darkness; they matter more than you think. ✨🤎
@vlrny I was just sharing some old drawings I have on a Print On Demand site-- here's one for you:
@cohanf
Two things:
1) 🥲
2) that alt text... 😘👌
@vlrny Since I learned what alt text is *really* for ( I read some bad advice years ago about how to use it in blogging) I make an effort to make it -hopefully- give the reader who is not seeing the image some kind of an interesting experience!
I'm working on a blog post, and with blog photos + promo images for social media, I edited 22 photos and wrote the alts in advance-- took me several days at a couple/few hours per day...lol-- and that's using some of the alt for a few similar pics..lol
@cohanf that's really awesome. Your efforts at it have clearly paid off. Also that drawing was beautiful. Quirky and beautiful. :)
@vlrny thanks! The goddess drawings are close to my heart -I have a bunch of them, based on ancient artifacts (and interpretations) from the archaeology and archaeomythology work of Marija Gimbutas
(here's an intro if you aren't familiar- this is not a dull scholarly film)

Here's another drawing from the same time- then a blog link to follow

 Note: Some of these images will suggest 'devils' or 'demons' to some viewers, coming from a Christian perspective. That is not what they ar...

@cohanf I am boosting this to remind me yo listen to it with the text reader thing when my eyes are tired. (also because it is very likely awesome, your art is so quirky and loving).
@vlrny The video I linked above (not mine) is also, if I recall correctly, good for listening without necessarily looking all the time- they do show some of the ancient artifacts I was inspired by, but most of it is interviews with various people and Olympia Dukakis narrating, so could be enjoyed eyes closed, mostly or entirely.
@cohanf oh! This all sounds so lovely! Thanks for thinking of me. 🥲
