A ★★★½ review of Companion (2025)

Man, did I have great time rooting for beep boop. Expertly crafted to be on her side and feel her emotions and toxic one-sidedness of their relationship. I really appreciated the film freshly exploring more on the relationship side’s “real” humanity vs sentient as opposed to delving deeper in sci-fi Philosophy. I have some notes on the whole scenario of why they were there in the first place being a tad silly/out-there, but maybe that’s what made the film so much more enjoyable with its comedic backdrop. It’s clever trope turns were so much fun
