This week, Mirko Swillus @mechko was back in Brussels, representing us at the first meeting of the #CyberResilience Act Expert Working Group. This group is advising the European Commission on implementing the regulation that went into effect at the end of 2024. We’re bringing the Sovereign Tech Agency’s experience working closely with many #opensource communities to help shape cybersecurity standards for digital products in the European Union. 1/2

Together with other representatives from #FOSS communities, like the Apache Software Foundation, @EclipseFdn (@tobie) @openssf (@fukami) and others, our goal is to help the Commission create meaningful guidance for FOSS contributors and maintainers. We particularly want to be involved in how the implementation of the regulation affects open source technologies and critical digital infrastructure. 2/2

@slink @sovtechfund Thanks Nils! I was thinking to also ask our past and current portfolio projects at some point for their uncertainties / concerns / questions / thoughts around the CRA. Let's see when I get to that 😅
