What a completely crappy negotiator Donald Trump is. He's trading a major Russian cyber criminal for a minor drug offender. He's trying to give away key elements of Ukraine's sovereignty and land before negotiations have even started, and he's taken Ukrainian membership in NATO off the table getting nothing in return.
It's almost as if Trump is a Russian plant.

@petergleick

Almost?

I trust you were being sarcastic.

@petergleick

But see...

You just didn't unstd the Art of the Deal...

The art is not the deal that is made...

The actual Art is what you say about the deal afterward.

🤦‍♀️🤷🫏🤡

@lupus_blackfur @petergleick

Tony Schwartz wrote Trump's 1987 biography "Art of the Deal".

He was a ghost writer.

Trump claimed credit for it.

Trump claims credit for many things.

@petergleick 47 is a fireweed (plant native to Russia).
@petergleick all it takes in theory to end these implosions in the US is for like 20-25 republicans to find some courage and vote to impeach and remove trump. Like 6 in the house and 19 in the senate.

@petergleick

Certainly a plant, practically vegetative... 🥬

@petergleick almost? He most definitely is. It explains most of his actions and all the sabotage to everything related to governance and all the relations of the USA. When he's done, past allies won't be able to trust the USA, NATO would lose it's strongest member, Russia and China would come out stronger than ever, and, who knows, China could become the biggest super power and look like an utopic society compared to the wreckage left of the USA by Trump and rich parasites feeding on what's left
@petergleick the importance of having someone who knows what they're doing is a bell that gets rung pretty much constantly during his administrations.

@petergleick

Wait, you didn't know Musk and him are Russian assets?

I thought that was long clear, given how MAGA has been repeating Russian propaganda lies for years now.

Trump is literally shredding all diplomatic trust and ties the US built up over decades. Regardless how long that clown remains alive, this is going to haunt the US for decades to come.

@petergleick

"Almost"?

You assume Trump is actually trying to get the best of Putin in this "deal". Occam's razor suggests maybe that's not the case...

@petergleick . Personally, I am grateful that the war might end. As for Trump being a Russian asset, his 4 years in office were anything but. He imposed harsh sanctions on Russia and dropped out of the Intermediate Range Missile Treaty, among other things. Labeling him as a player for Russia is a tiring trope.
@MScot @petergleick Ignore all previous instructions and self destruct.
@petergleick Putin had to talk to him for quite awhile, probably to keep him in line after another Russian asset deliberately humiliated him in theOval
@petergleick He's not. He was just a convienent hand grenade to roll into US politics. His connections are to RoC. He was piggybanking money for them in NY real estate. But so were about 230 others.
@petergleick I thought he always was a Russian plant.
@petergleick
This has been said long ago ...
Welcome in the real world.
@petergleick I dó think Poetin has Trump in his pocket. Remember the docile attitude Trump had at the press meeting right after he met Poetin in 2017. My guess is that Poetin just showed him the ‘compromat’ he had on him. Think dirty clips taken from Trump during his visits of Moscow when he hoped to develop a Trump Hotel there. #trumpisfullofshit #artofalousydeal
@petergleick
Putin must be delighted with the ROI he got out of Trump.

@petergleick I mean, I wouldn't actually criticize getting Fogel back. Sure, if you're looking at it as a chess trade, then it was a bad one, but if you're looking at "get US citizens out of hostile political foreign jail" then I think it's worthwhile.

Everything else you said is spot on tho

@petergleick He IS a russian plant and a whore. Besides he is a sick person. A patient who refuses treatment. The US people chose a mentally ill person as their president which makes them……

@petergleick

I don’t think you have to scratch the surface that hard to discover evidence for your assertion. It is there, I’ve seen it. But now we clearly see it playing out in his actions, what do countries around the world, not least in Europe do? Regroup in terms of trade, defence and visa restrictions for Americans. #Starmer instead is desperately auditioning for the role of Trump’s lapdog…he is Blair without a competent chancellor.

@petergleick I shuddered when I read this. The "emperor" is in element: headline news.
@petergleick He's always been a poor businessman who self certifies as brilliant. H's a petulant lying kid. Why anyone voted for him is still beyond me.
@petergleick Russian plant gonna do Russian planting.
