@TonyWideman Heh. Yeah, I'll hang on to my DVDs thank you. Considering streaming services can just "remove" titles -- even ones we pay for -- it's best to have physical media!

"Because of streaming services dominating the media these days, physical media like DVDs and CDs have become relics of the past. We bet you haven’t watched a DVD in years, yet you probably still have your collection. @DoomsdaysCW I don't have any physical media at all. just in case can be a very long and deep Rabitt hole. If I can't get something I just do something else.
@TonyWideman Good for you. I tend to be a bit on the ASD-obsessive side of things, so I do go down rabbit holes (and like having familiar things on hand. DVDs came in handy during the 6-day power outage last year).
@DoomsdaysCW I hear you. I have my quirks. We all do what works best for us.
@TonyWideman And I see you're a minimalist. I'm more of a collectivist. But it's all good!
@DoomsdaysCW @TonyWideman I check DVDs out of the public library all the time. Sometimes I get out movies or tv shows I like even when I don't have time to watch them to keep them circulating so they don't get rid of them.
@DoomsdaysCW @TonyWideman |We watch our DVDs. We have no TV and our only streaming service is the ABC iView service. And we listen to CDs without fear of losing the right to listen if the streaming service drops it. Life is not dull either.
@TonyWideman At least this article recommends turning old towels into cleaning rags.

@TonyWideman

"we all seem to hoard a stash of plastic bags in our kitchens, so let’s cut that out and recycle them properly, making the switch to sturdy reusable options for good."

Riiight....
How about you just use them until they wear out... THEN "recycle" them and switch to reusable ones...

Plastic water bottles: "...recycle them and invest in a high-quality, reusable bottle. It’s better for the planet and your wallet,"

So again - throw away something that you could use and wear out, and BUY something new is somehow better for the planet?

What a load of bollocks.

@chewie Do what is comfortable for you. There is no right or wrong.
@TonyWideman there is right and wrong, but anyway.....
