@Zordrak It's cathartic to see that Walters' agenda is being messed with... but the GOP here has done (and continues to do) a ton of damage to our education system. Under our last Dem governor, Brad Henry, we were ranked 17th in education nationwide.
Since the Republicans took over control in 2011, we've declined to the bottom of the list, vacillating between 48th and 50th.

@Brookside Yeah. It's especially hilarious because our current governor got elected on a platform of making Oklahoma a "Top Ten State!" and has done exactly the opposite in every positive metric. I was legitimately surprised to suddenly see him become concerned about the state of public education and rebuff Walters, given his track record... but hey I'll take a smöl win wherever I can get it heh.
I am actually a product of Oklahoma's education system, back when it was still good, and it horrifies me how bad things have gotten nowadays.
