Kristian@pixelfed While I love your enthusiasm and wholeheartedly support what you're generally doing: Instagram and Tiktok are platforms built by big teams with no shortage in resources. Pixelfed on the contrary is ... rather small. Wouldn't it be better to focus on one right now and make it /perfect/...?
@z428eu Pixelfed is almost perfect, and we have a team that is helping with Pixelfed dev now.
Loops is a huge vibrant community, the 3rd largest active fediverse project, and its only 2 months old.
Pixelfeds app just launched less than a month ago, so I think we're doing pretty good, despite the huge undertaking.
I wouldn't recommend others attempt this 😎

@FinchHaven I feel utterly bad for ranting at this point, but personal perception is that half-baked projects with that lack quality and dedication seem much more than anything else negative publicity to leave people with unsatisfied experiences and ultimately drive them off the Fediverse again. 😔

Deer Dream Pictures@traccer @z428eu @pixelfed @FinchHaven Pixelfeed is not "almost perfect", and nobody expect it to be. But there are bunch of issues there which seems be ignored and they are annoying.
Other topic is fact of removing users from the platform because they actually share some not positive feedback is just cheap an non classy way, it is worse than Facebook or Meta in general.
Miro@pixelfed for me, Pixelfexd feels far from perfect and Loops doesn't feel very vibrant yet. If you wouldn't recommend others to attempt this, I can't recommend you to attempt this. I like Pixelfed, and thank you for your work, but I'd wish for more polish and love for Pixelfed before jumping into new ambitious projects.

Also so glad you pushed out a new release recently for Android phones, I'm enjoying a much better user experience now. I look forward to all your future releases too.
