I got a little bored just cutting all my fabric scraps today, so I took a few minutes and pieced some teeny tiny half-square triangle blocks. Just wanted to try something new. I'm not used to making 1.5" (3.8 cm) squares. I have HUNDREDS of little triangles in various colors and prints. Maybe someday I'll use them in an actual, usable quilt.

Although, I did make the job a little easier for myself. I used a strip of white fabric almost 2.5" (~6.1 or 6.2 cm) wide, and put all the triangles on it, then sewed 1/4" (6 mm) seams down the long sides of each triangle, cut them all apart, then pressed, and trimmed. Here's a picture of the little tiny ruler I used to trim all the squares. It's a lot of work for such small blocks.

@lisamakesstuff

How cute! I look forward to seeing what you do with them.

My quilt was made entirely of blocks formed from different arrangements of half square triangles, they are so versatile!

@suearcher That's awesome! Nice work!

@lisamakesstuff

Thank you!

I loved the idea that one simple shape could make so many different patterns.

@lisamakesstuff I’ve got that pink scroll! Don’t have a ruler that small though - it’s so teeny
@inarticulatequilter It certainly is! SpousalUnit gave me a set of 6(!) Bloc_Loc rulers, and that's the smallest. I was so happy to see how easy it is to use!
