EDIT: ok actually you can use it for RSS as well.

Hereās all the built-in connectors in #Tapestry, Iāll have a play and see how I get on. I like the idea of this app a lot.
In the free version, everything appears in one timeline, which might be chaotic. You can have multiple timelines configured if you pay for a subscription. You also need a subscription to customise the colour of a given connector in your timeline.
Tapestry is primarily a reader, but you can tap an item to go to the original location to interact (eg like/reply/comment).
Took me a minute to figure out but you can set a feed to open in an app, rather than the website, which is much better experience. Edit the feed and change the āopen inā setting to whatever app you want to use.
The first time you try to open a post in the external app it will ask for permission, but it should be seamless after that.
Generally, I really like this app. Itās a pleasure to use, images and videos load really well, the āmarkā feature will be useful. Iāve only got a few feeds in there for now but itās definitely got potential, I think Iām gonna be using it a lot.
A few things I hope they sort out (Iāve submitted feedback):
Content warnings are ignored. Mastodon and Bluesky both allow people to label their posts as sensitive, and then other people can decide whether or not they want to see it. Tapestry ignores that and shows you the uncensored posts. This is a BIG problem, depending on who you follow!
It would be nice to have support for threads (as in related posts, not the Meta app). Feels weird to tap a post and not see the stuff itās related to. Obviously you can open the original post to see that, but⦠yeah.
Swipe behaviour feels backwards to me. The gesture to open a post in the relevant app is swiping from left to right. To me, it should be right to left. This is reinforced by the way you swipe left to right on the bar at the bottom in iOS to go back to Tapestry after youāre done. Maybe this could be a customisable option.
Scroll direction should be customisable too. Some people like new stuff on top, some like it at the bottom. Why not let them choose?
It would be really nice to include the ability to like and boost/repost stuff from Tapestry without having to go to the original post in a different app.
Ideally Iād like to be able to post from Tapestry too, but I guess thatās beyond the scope of what theyāre trying to do.
