Clean Design@Oregon_Pacifist Hey, I just found your YouTube channel. I saw a video about your Revolt server and was interested in joining. I was having some trouble getting in though. Left a comment on the video with more details.
@Oregon_Pacifist Okay I get it now. It is similar to Mastodon in that you can setup your own real server (unlike Discord where a server is really just a chat group). I guess I was going in to it thinking that 199X was a chat group for retro games and stuff. But it is actually a host for other people who want to make their own chat group. Is that correct?

@CleanDesign right. 199X.chat is just an independent Revolt instance. Once you have an account, you can join a server or create your own. Currently there are only 2 servers. The “Official” one can be found by clicking the link in my bio. It’s still small but hopefully it’s the start of something bigger.
