A ★★★★ review of Thérèse Raquin (1953)

Simone Signoret. That should do the trick to watch this. Always a good idea to see a film with Signoret, even her mediocre ones. It's a suspenseful and beautifully filmed thriller. And Carné maintains a solid mise-en-scène, helped with exquisit photography. A femme fatale as a femme tragique. C'est extraordinaire!
