Pirates! These gulls are not just any ordinary gulls – they are great black-backed gulls, the largest gull species in the world. In October, I saw a group of them following goosanders that were fishing. Once the gulls saw a goosander with a fish... I followed the birds for a while, but I was not fast enough to photograph the successful attempts :(

Great black-backed gulls are cool birds, they are not cute, but I still like them. On Monday, I found one perching on a transmission tower and took a picture of its bum from below because of course. Maybe you'll see it here some day :)
