@maxleibman I actually had to look this up because I couldn't believe it. I know some people just enjoy watching video games or have them on as background noise while studying (streaming from other gamers, et cetera). However, I'm still trying to reconcile this idea of AI doing gaming for the person, but I also guess it depends on what a person gets out of gaming, actively or passively (a sense of accomplishment, escape, story, art, et cetera).

I can't be bothered looking it up, so this is paraphrasing from 1980s VHS rental, but they're talking about all the things she doesn't have to do because she has lackeys to do it for her. One pepperpot concludes that she probably spends all day playing snooker, and the other counters "Oh, no. She has somebody play snooker for her."

@Exaltia Oh, I’m definitely mocking. But inspired by reality (there are programs that have been trained to play certain games, of course, and people have observed that generative AI automates fulfilling work like writing or painting rather than automating drudgery like doing the dishes).
