EyeSeeTeaToday is #WorldNTDDay, a day to raise awareness about Neglected Tropical diseases (NTDs), a group of preventable or treatable diseases that affect more than 1 billion people worldwide.
They are neglected because of who they impact – some of the world’s most overlooked and hardest-to-reach people.

Today, more than 1 billion people live in areas endemic for leishmaniasis and are at risk of infection. This disease affects some of the world’s poorest people. Preventing and controlling the spread of leishmaniasis is complex and requires many tools. One of them is effective disease surveillance and data. At EyeSeeTea are proud to contribute to this through the elaboration of Leishmaniasis country profiles information for WHO and all the researchers, officers and health workers working against this treatable and curable disease.
