Learn to drive better, fellow dumbasses

context: UK, I drive on left of road, driver seat is on right of vehicle, oncoming traffic is to the right of my right shoulder. Pedestrians and cyclists (but not motorbikers) are on left of passenger seat's left.

Skills Days | IAM RoadSmart | UK Road Safety Charity

IAM RoadSmart Skills Days allow drivers and riders the chance to develop their skills with qualified instructors using racing circuits as a classroom.

The Official DVSA Guide to Winter Driving

This short course will help you to drive safely in winter. It includes sections on journey planning and vehicle maintenance, as well as tips and advice for driving in wet, snowy and icy conditions.

christ alive. RideFree's hazard perception clips demonstrate HORRIBLE lane discipline, front separation distance, reactions, timings, and overall decision making.

I know the point is to give everyone the maximum time before realising what the problem is, but jfc, I grit my teeth and clench my knuckles watching it.

Oh yeah, and the "what is the biggest hazard to you?" 'correct' answers are bullshit. A bad driver reacting impulsively is always more alarming to me than a cyclist who turns right.

An oncoming van off a blind right turn after you traverse a narrow bridge is always more hazardous than an oncoming car through a narrow under train tunnel. It's a VAN. It has more mass. Duh?!!?!

context: UK, I drive on left of road, driver seat is on right of vehicle, oncoming traffic is to the right of my right shoulder. Pedestrians and cyclists (but not motorbikers) are on left of passenger seat's left.

Fine! I suppose the oncoming car through the narrow tunnel COULD be more hazardous than the oncoming van after the narrow bridge, but it's still a stupid fucking question.

Yes, it is more dangerous to have restricted movement, whether from pedestrians or a giant lorry. It's still worse to face a large oncoming vehicle with low or no visibility compared to noticing anything oncoming and slowing down well in advance so it ever becomes an issue.

JFC. Do you want to die? No? Then practice defensive driving.

Try to predict what dumb shit other (tired, distracted, sick, late for work, pained) drivers in their 1 ton bullets will do.
Then assume the worst example and plan how to react in advance to preserve as many options for future you as possible.

context: UK, I drive on left of road, driver seat is on right of vehicle, oncoming traffic is to the right of my right shoulder. Pedestrians and cyclists (but not motorbikers) are on left of passenger seat's left.

There is no correct answer to invalid questions.

There is no "most hazardous" road user (besides yourself).

"Have you stopped / When did you stop beating [off] your wife?" Considering I have no wife, I cannot respond in any 'correct' way.

Anyone got experience with https://www.edennew.life/ ?

I was gonna go with them, but then realised my gut was saying no for all the AI stuff on their website.
(But then they sent a marketing e-mail about how they'd tried it but don't find LLM tools to be that helpful?)

All of the clinics on this list accept self-referrals.

Note that while some services will see patients younger than 18 for an assessment, not all will offer hormone therapy. You may wish to contact services to find out if they are willing to prescribe to under 18s before paying money to a service.

Other private services

Whilst they do not have clinicians who can prescribe hormones or refer you for surgery, Gender Health Care offer help, advice and support from registered health professionals with personal and professional experience of non-conforming gender identities. They provide services to people of all ages including offering specialist advice, administering injections, and taking blood samples.

Gender GP is based outside of the UK, but they provide services for trans patients internationally. This includes hormone prescribing and counselling."

hmmmm. Does your smell return to normal after stopping HRT? That's pretty important to me.

What Changes Does HRT Make to Your Body During Transition?

When taking HRT for gender affirming care, the changes you experience are similar to those that cis people experience during puberty. Let's look deeper.

IS it 'dysphoria' about one's gender though?
Or is it 'persistent demand for autonomy' when cis people gender ANYTHING, including you without asking you and whether you say yes or no.

My critiques are mostly linguistic btw. Your experience is real and fuck anyone who says otherwise.

https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/gender-dysphoria/

Gender dysphoria

Gender dysphoria is a term that describes a sense of unease that a person may have because of a mismatch between their biological sex and their gender identity.

@MxVerda #Glaze makes content more resistant for AI-training. One big caveat is that it often triggers AI-detection as well, which is kind of annoying.

Also the tool is downloadable and you can run it on your device locally
