To get myself back into the #gym should finally commit to the bit and get a log #barbell.

Maybe when it gets a bit warmer I'll go for it? Hmm.
@pseudoramble What diameter are you looking at? And what barbells do you have already?
@wheeljack I've never actually used a log. So I was thinking a 10" one which sounds most balanced. Only have two standard Olympic barbells and a SSB so far.

@pseudoramble My old gym had a couple logs, 8" and 12".

They were fun to play with, but didn't seem to have much use beyond log clean/press. If you're doing strongman that's super useful, but as I don't, they were just a novelty.

If I may, I'd recommend looking at an axle/square bar or a camber swiss bar. The latter was super helpful for shoulder rehab and I'd argue is the reason my bench has blown up.

Whatever you decide, I'm excited to hear about it!

@wheeljack yeah the log is 100% just for log clean and press. It's been one of my favorite movements to watch people do and still is. A cambered swiss bar would be way more practical, no question.
