@littlemiao My preferred human has turned off pictures so she can decide what content she sees (for chronic fatigue/mental health reasons). If she finds this, she won't bother clicking on it.

Alt text is not unique to Mastodon. It's on most social media these days, but it is easier to do on Mastodon. To say we should be patient with new users is assuming that they didn't bother doing it on Meta/Twitter either.
