The #river Böhme rises in #Pietzmoor near Schneverdingen in Lower Saxony. Here in the east of Bad Fallingbostel the river is meandering at an unusually high (40 meter) steep bluff called the Lieth.

The #Freudenthalweg runs on top of that bluff.

Thread: #Freudenthalweg Part 1

The hiking trail (153 km) runs from Hamburg to Verden and is marked with a white F. It is named after 2 brothers August and Friedrich Freudenthal. Both Born in the middle of 19th century and both Heidedichter (poets). The trail is one of the oldest in Germany and not so well known as others.
