I now have a version of the script I really like. The challenge: finding a cinematic way to film it.

I want this/all the videos to have voice-over narration (instead of me speaking to the camera) so I can quickly / easily make foreign language versions.

From a lowercase-a accessibility standpoint, would you consider reducing/eliminating jargon from your pieces? “Fediverse” and even “federated” alienate and exclude people who are just trying to find an ethical, respectful social network, but they’re used liberally here.

Some alternatives like “social web” or “compatible” or even like “these sites all share the same plumbing” would go a long way to welcoming non-techies here. 💙

@_elena you could tell a story of some chracteristic people - how they got connected and integrated into Fediverse. various topics:
1 ecology-groups, 2 HumanRights Activists,
3 news/journalist / marketeer,
4 scientist / techy
5 artist -> music, video, illustrations
6 basic people searching for info and entertainment

and various institutions

this #friendica server is dedicated to host community forum pages, not profiles, for the #fediVerse. Tupambae means "commons" in the language of the Guarani, the trading canoe tribes of the Rio de la Plata catchment area which includes the Rio Parana and Rio Uruguay, alongside the Amazon river the biggest ecological region in South America.

On of our community forums is @studi0, it's idea is to publish not only things that commonly would be published to @howto, @tutorial or @freeopensource, but everything that has to do with open source software used to edit #multiMedia content, as well as in a best case scenario create community cooperation around projects themself. Those pages can, if necessary, be moderated including restricting access and/or following. Of course those moderation efforts can be done in cooperation or handed over to people interested in taking care of them.
Besides that we host also a specific forum for @gimped content.

Perhaps you as a producer in the field have ideas on the matter or would like to publish your content including them so they can be spread it into the community for you?

My experience @rcbo is, that people are tribal and need to gather around a term, a brand a togetherness.

So to evade by all means to get stuck just with mastodon and use that effect of "we" I can't see why no create it. Not in a tiresome repetitive hypnotizing fashion, but it's important to point out the distinctive difference.

For me it's like fediVerse is the result of a more than a decade long search and fight for what we have in common, our #commons and that's ultimately the decentralized communication agreement that evolved into activityPub.

I actually can pinPoint you to the evolution of respective hashtags over time and space of about 13 years.

It's a cultural term at this stage I guess.

Even a misspelling 10 years ago shows up, federateWeb with a TV take about #friendica and #diaspora, a comment from @fabrixxm and of course @tobias is all over the place ..

Actually the upcoming #FOSDEM event has a long lasting hashtag stream on geraspora, maybe this is the first fosdem/federatedweb post, including an interview with a #diasporian on #FOSDEM2015.
