I have this odd issue with my laptop where whenever I play music using "traditional" apps like #Lollypop, #Pragha, #StrawberryPlayer, #Rythmbox, #QuodLibet or #Exaile, it pauses at random times for a few seconds, like if the music is buffering or something.

Interestingly, it doesn't happen with #mpd, #Monophony or through #Firefox. And it has happened with every distro I used with this laptop (#Fedora, #Debian, #EndeavourOS).

I suspect is related to #pipewire-pulse, but I'm not sure.

#Linux

I tried to find the problem, but no luck. Other problem is that it doesn't show anything in the journal or #systemd systemctl status.

I thought that #EasyEffects was the culprit, but no, I uninstalled it and the problem persists.

Well, since I have recently been rediscovering my love for #audioCDs, and I really like #mpd and its clients (particularly #Cantata and #Ymuse), it is more of an annoying problem than anything else.

If I'm motivated, maybe this weekend I'll try to find its origin and solve it.
