If you're new, I put together a thread every week of events across the state of #Massachusetts, but often highlighting local to where we live in #SomervilleMA (which is right next to #MedfordMA, #ArlingtonMA, and #CambridgeMA) - but big events in #Vermont, #NewHampshire, #Maine, and #Connecticut get a mention too.
I do this as a way to give back to the growing fediverse community. If going to interesting events and meeting your neighbors is something that resonates, boost/like/follow the relevant tags. Plus when you're encouraging your pals to try out non-corporate social media, let them know this is the kind of thing we're doing here.
