Tonight I'm watching Repulsion (1965), directed by Roman Polanski, starring Catherine Deneuve. If you haven't heard of it, it's a thriller, and one of Deneuve's early roles. Already I don't like the dubbing.

After that it's Shirley (2020), directed by Josephine Decker, starring Elizabeth Moss. This one's a fictionalized biopic about Shirley Jackson, a novelist in the 50s.

I've unboxed the Varda boxed set.

The first disc contains Varda par Agnès (2019), a documentary by the director of her watching and commenting on her life's works. Plus, it contains Les 3 Boutons (2015), a short. I'm going to have to pay close attention to them so please folks, silence in the pews.

I must inform you this is my first exposure to Varda's actual work.

I'm inspired by her inspiration though.
