@changelingcritter I love these questions! They've got me genuinely interested in developing Dot as a character 😆❤️.
1) Since Dot is a Mannequin creature from Silent Hill, I would assume that, rather than having a brain, her function and behaviours rely on other people's belief in her and perception of her, much like gods in fantasy fiction. Like in the SH lore, she is in fact just a manifestation of someone's wild psyche and libido; she's just the sillier, more pet-like version of that concept.
2) As per point 1, since she is *technically* imaginary (but made real through belief), she currently feeds and sustains herself off of other people's sexual arousal and... Fluids... Much like a succubus of sorts. This is purely because enough people believe she does.
3) While Dot lacks vocal chords and any ability to speak or traditionally eat, one *could* consider both her vaginas "mouths" of sorts since they are used to feed her with people's sexual appetites and pleasure. She also occasionally makes a little expressive "queef" in response to verbal communication.

@RxD_RxT Thanks so much for answering! My questions were not intended to be rhetorical, i think shes neat and was trying to visualize how her anatomy functions. I love body horror creatures. I dont really know anything about silent hill aside from hearing about the dude who edited the wiki to be circumcision metaphor shit in a YouTube video.
Seeing her is making me want to make my own creatures. As a kid I had some abomination creature called crawlers that I have no clue how to accurately describe at all.
@changelingcritter Aw yay, I'm glad to have answered then! I'm very bad with interpreting tone and sarcasm in general, so through text it's kind of impossible for me lol so I typically play it safe or put my answer behind a warning just in case.
I love what you're already drawing, and I hope I'll get to see one of your crawlers one day! There's something about body horror creatures that's oddly cute to me. It's like the scary wears off after a while and we're left with the silliness of it all, and that's sort of what made Dot happen as a character concept. I just feel like two pairs of legs fused together is the goofiest shit ever and it's endearing. 🥰
@changelingcritter Eventually, yeah! But the good thing is it only really takes one person to believe she's real for her to exist, and since she's kept as someone's pet, her existence is pretty much guaranteed. I think if everyone forgot her, the moving-on from a concept takes a lot of time to be fully done with, leaving no traces written or storytold or drawn at all, so she'd probably grow gradually weaker until eventually fading out of existence.
