1. Since I posted about evacuating due to the wildfires, I have had *two* conspiracy theory videos promoted to me in the first slot of the Reels carousel in Meta apps. When I say conspiracy theory, I mean a person who is claiming the fires were started as part of some effort between global governments, local governments, and insurance companies.

2. Just today, I made a comment on an official Instagram post on Threads. I immediately had two clear low quality accounts quote my reply, separately, and tell me to DM them on Telegram with my Cash App or PayPal for a "new year blessing." I reported both. Almost immediately, both reports were closed, and I was told the posts don't go against their standards.

As I like to say... moderation is hard, but it sure isn't this hard. Meta succeeds in making difficult work appear impossible. If small online communities can successfully weed out PayPal scams for decades, Meta certainly could. If they wanted to, but they don't, which is why their end result is what it is.
