@marcas Wow, this really caught my eye because as a kid (late 1970's),we spent 3 months in Creetown staying in the gatehouse to the old Laird's Manor. I even attended school there for the time. I don't remember the town but do remember collecting mussels with mum in the firth. It was during The Troubles so we also saw military vehicles going past on the way to Stranraer. Think it was safe to say the 3 of us were the only Aussies in the village back then.
