Does anyone know of an external trackpad that works well with Linux?

Apple Magic Trackpad

I got one as a gift a few years ago and with the right DKMS driver it seemed to work pretty well.

I ended up not using it only because I wasn't that crazy about using a trackpad.

🙂 it works out of the box with libinput on archlinux.

Ah, I guess the driver got mainstreamed/mainlined. That's cool.

@thelinuxcast I'm more of a trackball and mouse person, so I haven't tried many trackpads. However, one trackpad that I found remarkable is the Ploopy Trackpad! It works great with Linux, and the best part is that it's open-source with free designs. Check it out here: https://ploopy.co/product-category/trackpad/ 😊👍 #PloopyTrackpad #OpenHardware
