I really like to watch edgy series with main characters that seem to be a bit off most of the time. One of those is #Pernille, a norwegian series about a single mom living with two kids, her own dad [yup, grampa] plus her nephew. She's pragmatic and lovely, the depiction of her working at a youth welfare office adds to that but is not in focus.
OK, weil ich gestern gesehen hab, dass die neue 4. Staffel #HIP - Ermittlerin mit Mords-IQ mit Audrey #Fleurot nur noch bis 26.1. [!] online ist, empfehle ich die Serie in dieser Reihe doch noch ein wirklich letztes Mal.

Morgane Alvaro (Audrey Fleurot), ehemals Putzfrau und nun brillante Ermittlerin mit messerscharfem Verstand und unkonventionellem Stil, stellt regelmäßig die Polizei von Lille auf den Kopf. Während sie mit ungewöhnlichen Einfällen selbst vertrackte Fälle löst, geraten Kollegen und Privatleben gleichermaßen aus dem Takt. Ihr Vorgesetzter Karadec (Mehdi Nebbou) kämpft mit ihren ungewöhnlichen Ermittlungsmethoden und erliegt mehr und mehr ihrem bizarren Charme. Ob Liebeswirrwarr, Familienchaos oder Krimipuzzle – Morgane findet fast immer die Lösung. Nicht immer 100 Prozent absichtlich. Auch in Frankreich, Belgien und der Schweiz ist die Krimi-Komödie ein riesiger Erfolg. Die Serie 'HIP: Ermittlerin mit Mord-IQ' gibt es im französischen Originalton und als deutsche Fassung.

I'm reading lots [you know that] and one of my nonfiction favorites is Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art [2020] by James #Nestor. "Breath is a fascinating ride through evolution, medicine, physiology and extreme sports." [Quote from @thestorygraph description] And I would add "ancient wisdom" to that.
As well as Four Thousand Weeks/#Burkeman, this is a nonfiction I intend to read a 2nd time, probably in '25!

Ich lese viel, gern und so ziemlich alles [..., was kein klassischer Krimi ist]. Schon seit Dekaden immer wieder mal österreichische Literatur - und fühl' mich total zu Hause in den Wörtern und geborgen von Sätzen. Keine Ahnung, warum, und ja, ich finde das auch schwülstig, ist aber genau so.

Falls du in [der Region] #Hannover lebst oder hier mal mit der Bahn vorbeikommst, lohnt sich Do - Sa [von 12-20 Uhr geöffnet] ein Besuch im Vintage Institut. Elfie & Ignaz haben ne wirklich tolle, mehrstöckige "Loft"-Location, in der nicht nur supercoole 2nd Hand-Mode verkauft wird, sd. auch Schmuck, Möbel etc. Hin + wieder finden auch Events statt, Modenschauen, Jam-Sessions neuerer Bands etc.

I'm interested in everything concerning physicality/behavior, this includes singing - especially the vast possibilities to generate sound with larynx/palate, tongue/mouth/muscles in general as well as diaphragm control.

My [anecdotal!] experiences with acupressure methods are really great, I'm using on an almost daily basis an acupressure mat + the Theracane. You can google those yourself, general principle of an acup-mat is a stimulation of the tissue/lymph/bloodflow to those areas which generates warmth + relaxes. For me it helps lots, while on it I listen to audiobooks.
The Theracane is suited to use a bit of a lever to be able to "massage" certain pain points/stressed areas.

Super fun supporting actors/roles and all sponsored by a very dry humor.

Angefangen hat meine Liebe mit Hanf von Ute #Woltron, aktuell lese ich Affen von Volker #Sommer; diese superkurzen Bücher machen einfach Spaß. Es gibt mittlerweile mehr als 100, sollte also jede*r was für den eigenen Geschmack finden - allen ist der warme Blick auf Natur gemein. <3

She's an author, illustrator, clothes and jewellery designer - and quite a mindful human being. 🤎
Those two are a great resource: MBSR / MBCL. There are 8 ~2h long weekly meetings plus a complete day, learning about/practising Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction or MB Compassionate Living.
MBSR was founded in the 70s, originally as a program to support people with chronic pain. It's one of the most scientifically studied "tools" for stress reduction, bulging with different techniques and exercises - and clean from all spiritual or esoteric tendencies. Love it!
Inspired by yesterday's curry experience I wanna nudge you with my #rebcommendations towards Tamar #Adler|s unbelievably rich An Everlasting Meal: Cooking with Economy and Grace [2011], + also towards The Complete Tassajara Cookbook [2009] by Edward Espe #Brown. Both cherish food, eating + [kind of un?] celebrate the act of cooking as part of a well lived daily life. There are insights, recipes, reflections + tricks that really changed my own views on how I want to nourish myself.
