Weโ€™re giving away over $1 million to support a better internet | Proton

We raised over $1 million this year to directly support organizations on the front lines of the fight for online privacy and freedom.

@protonprivacy I haven't won, but I'm glad to have supported the raffle!

As a suggestion, you could increase the chances of users who follow your profile on social media more aligned with your values.

@protonprivacy Again no win for me. Maybe next time. Anyway, happy to contribute!
@protonprivacy ONE MILLION DOLLARS?! Thatโ€™s awesome! Congrats to the winners, and thanks for making this possible @protonprivacy โ™ฅ๏ธ. I proudly wear your merch.

As of January 9, there are problems with logging into your services.
@protonprivacy Do yourself a favour and join a competent USA digital rights lobbying operation too. Your recent debacle shows you sorely need it.
@protonprivacy Do you guys list which organisations this money goes to, or are you just going to funnel all of it to Trump and the republican party since you apparently think they are supporting privacy and freedom?

@protonprivacy

In case anyone missed it, here's where Proton's official account praises Trump's republican party and JD Vance too:

Proton have since deleted these posts and said nothing more on the topic.

@[email protected] Corporate capture of Dems is real. In 2022, we campaigned extensively in the US for anti-trust legislation. Two bills were ready, with bipartisan support. Chuck Schumer (who coincidently has two daughters working as big tech lobbyists) refused to bring the bills for a vote. At a 2024 event covering antitrust remedies, out of all the invited senators, just a single one showed up - JD Vance. 1/2

@protonprivacy didn't know "privacy, freedom of expression, and human rights" were in your book. Hope you don't achieve the "more private Internet" by invading my bedroom & washroom in real life.
@protonprivacy Great, but I think I will leave. Bye proton. Special Thanks to Andy Yen ๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿ™„
@protonprivacy Your support of Republicans is truly baffling. Republicans are waging war on internet freedom by attacking adult websites. Perhaps soon after enacting the age verification laws they will try to ban VPNs.
