I’ve been watching the 3-body problem on #netflix - quite enjoyed it - are the books worth a read? #the3bodyproblem
@jamesjefferies controversial - i know some people loved the - but I think they are just Good and not Essential. Why bother when you could spend the time reading A Deepness in the Sky?

@tomstafford well, I’ve not read A deepness in the sky, so maybe I should do that 😆

Wasn’t there another book you were going to lend me? 🧐

@jamesjefferies was the book The Lathe of Heaven by Le Guin?
@jamesjefferies I liked the trilogy, in part because of the Sinocentric world-view, and thought it was well written but a bit bleak. I guess you know this though if you've seen the TV adaptation, albeit I haven't...

@wnd yes, the sinocentric part appeals to me, plus I’m impatient to find out what happens next 😆

I think the TV show has jumped about a bit across at least two of the three books

@jamesjefferies definitely
@Floppy thank you!
@jamesjefferies I thought about writing more, tbh, but it's a simple answer. Just do it :)
@Floppy have you seen the TV show too?
@jamesjefferies yep. It was good, I enjoyed it, but it crammed a *lot* into the latter half of the series that gets a bit more time to breathe in the books.
