Indeed⦠wowā¦!
@starluna @simonharper @gedeonm It doesn't seem to be too noisy.

It's a question of training and experience with fireworks when it comes to pets, I guess.
Our Labrador slept this night very well during the fireworks, and obviously dreamt about running and hunting. At midnight, both the dogs were with us on our terrace while we sipped the Champagne.
But funny, we had such a strong fog this year, that actually at midnight proper almost nobody fired much (by sound, it wasn't much visible anyway).
Not even on the same level as screaming rockets and exploding mortars, I presume.
These are #Drones, not #Fireworks - Looks #amazing !
Okay - This makes Sense. š
Where was this show? Impressive!
@gedeonm I was watching a stream of the ball drop in New York, and I was constantly distracted by the barrage of Coka-Cola and movie advertisements surrounding the whole event.
Yes, its "tradition", but this drone display is much cooler.
@gedeonm I wish I had only a tenth of these instead of having to use the more primitive methods of getting fancy lights into the night sky after the calendar rollover.
Note: Iām fully aware that āfancy lightsā absolutely isnāt a neccessity ⦠thatās just me enjoying that this is possible once a year. (and yes I clean up after my and my neighbors firework)
@gedeonm this fake is interesting. Apparently it came from a real drone show but was sped up and placed on a different background to look more impressive and hide the timelapse
While Singapore had drone shows during the Lunar New Year celebrations last month, the dragon in the video was digitally added from a clip showing last yearās Dragon Boat Festival drone show in Sheā¦
@gedeonm Impressive, but somehow it appears that your video file is broken. Do you have a better version of the video somewhere?
Edith: Found a better version. But I'd still be interested in a full-length video. This is just 20 seconds.

@gedeonm they have some drawbacks though

A theme park resort and a huge hotel in central Florida have either stopped using drones or cancelled their drone-based shows after several drones collided and fell from the sky during a separate holiday celebration in downtown Orlando. The accident on Saturday injured a boy who required surgery.
@gedeonm apparently this is more than 15 years old
