Fairfax parent sues e-bike company for alleged deception

The plaintiff says the company makes products that can be used to break the state’s speed limits for e-bikes.

@bikemonterey a fine line to ride, between discouraging / over-regulating #eBikes and promoting/teaching bicycle and motorcycle safety. The lawsuit might barely do more good than harm, but the general direction of the regulations is just pearl-clutching relative to the cars 16yo kids will be crashing into each other instead. 30mph is easily achievable on any big downhill with no motor, any ~1hp conflicts on paths is design failure / assumed bikes aren't transportation.
