Let's see if the fediverse is good for #TravelAdvice !

I'm visiting #London in 2 weeks. Staying in Hackney. I'm vegetarian, solo, not into sports & open minded.

What should I definitely do, visit, see, experience. Where should I certainly walk, look, hang or sit?

Should I bring my longboard, or is that a guarantee for broken kneecaps and infuriated natives?

Where and what should I definitely eat? Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks?

What and where are friendly clubs and parties?

@berkes there are so many wonderful things in London, Iโ€™ll just focus on ones local to you and less likely to make a guidebook.

Go see a gig at cafe Oto or EartH (better: both)
Coffee and cake the curve garden nearby
Longboard Strawberry Fields (you can listen to the Beatles if you choose)
Eat at Andu Ethiopian and Sen Viet Vietnamese; both vegan cafes
Walk Regents canal from De Beauvoir to Limehouse
Watch birds at Walthamstow Wetlands
Chill to jazz at the Nightjar in Shoreditch

@pauldyson wow. That's a lot. I love such tips. I was searching for a jazz cafe, so that alone is very welcome. I'll have to check the agenda on the venues though.

And Ethiopian, I love. We don't have one near so definitely will check it!

@berkes if jazz is your thing, also check out Vortex. That area is brilliant for live music (one of the reasons I know it so well!)
