We found:
H1: Predictable patters for which phrases would be interpreted as "high" and "low" probability.
H2a: Predictable patterns for which phrases would be interpreted as "broad" and "narrow".
H2b: Participants correctly estimated which phrases would have broad and narrow ranges of interpretation.
H2c: Participants underestimated the range for most phrases.
H3: Phrases were interpreted as somewhat lower probability when given a positive or negative medical framing.
