darkening off-whites in cielab vs rgb. Much more chroma in midtones. Labs inherent blue bias is very apparent in the middle swatches. the whites bleed into the blue side a lot more than the yellow side, and there are some offwhites that have a maxed out blue level

Same comparison but with lightening off-blacks instead. There are a lot of near-black yellows. going towards blue at 0% lightness quickly gives you blues that do not look like they should be 0% lightness, but it is where the #0000FF looking blues are
