Cohesion is...not a strong point for this library system. We're getting new plush chairs, (yay! I was just thinking the old ones were looking in dire need of a deep cleaning,) but, they don't match the new ones we got last year. Those the backs are the same colors as the sides. The new ones the backs are the same color as the seat. It's just...

Very typical of this system. Never mind the fact that they match the new branches and not ours in the least.

Only credit I'll give is the new end tables are oak stained, which matches all the other wood in here.

Still pissed that they foisted some ugly ass A-Frames on us from lord knows how many years ago. We don't know what to do with them because they don't match a damn thing and are scuffed as hell. They're blue laminated particle board. Just...wtf.

I can imagine.  

I know this is a very niche thing to complain about at a rather affluent system, but I feel like it speaks to the fucks admin gives about anything. They're spending millions on renovations and building replacements, and they can't be bothered to get the chairs right? What else in these buildings is half-assed. And not for lack of funds, I'd get that, but for lack of wherewithal.

@Tourma Oh, we're a rather affluent system too, though not as much as a couple of our surrounding communities (smack dab in one of the wealthiest counties in the United States).
In my perspective, our administration is highly out of touch and primarily do things for the image of doing them with no plan for long term sustainability. As long as they can get their press release about the launch, then anything after that disappears from their minds

Do they realize how pretentious that seems and that all of us staff members have laughed at them for doing it?
