Doing my best to keep on saving Raspberry Pis from the dustbin 😊.

This one arrived with 8 green led blinks - well known RAM chip soldering issue.

It takes some time, but mostly reflowing does the trick.

It did this time as well - you can see it from the impedance on one of the RAM IC caps and USB tester - so we have one more happy customer 🙌🏻.

You can't save 'em all though - another Pi 5 arrived with a dead #DA9091 that @RaspberryPi or #thepihut or literally anyone else won't sell.

Therefore even knowing the root of the issue you can't really help it 😔.

This is what you see with a thermal cam if you come with 3V3 over GPIO:

And of course being shorted it causes some other ICs to get warm, like this BCM5421Ethernet controller, for example

And if you observe it with regular power supply connected you'll see those coils getting hot:

But overall I'am wondering if @RaspberryPi ever plan to release #schematic for the #RaspberryPi5?

They have it publicly available for all of the previous models... 🤔

Did something change about their view of #RightToRepair?

And how about selling original parts? At least DA9090 and DA9091 PMICs would be awesome.
@iFixit, how about offering them some help with this? 😉
