But maybe they should teach Church history.

In college I was kicked out of the Bible class and instead I had to take church history.

What I learned was that though Christians in Europe mostly had the stage to themselves for 2000 years, they used much of that time fighting each other, burning each other, name-calling each other and and championing nation states in the name of "God".

The Constitutional authors knew of this history -- that's why they formed a religion-free government.
