One of my favourite local traditions.

Last night the storm shook the tree until all the branches were bare. Marking the start of kayak picking season.

As per tradition local children will be out early gathering them up and preparing them for tomorrow’s great Jam Fest at the Skibbereen Farmer’s Market.

Slightly salty & fibrous.
Kayak Jam is a local delicacy.
