I wish #FreeCAD  would consistently work on #Wayland  … For a few releases it does, with the 1.0 release it stopped. (No, using #Xwayland is not a solution but a disgusting workaround that introduces a lot of issues).

But I got it running and am looking forward to an excuse to try the new assembly features.

@poleguy Maybe the same underlying problem? I found this issue over on GitHub describing the exact problem I face.

The thing is, with “consistently” I meant consistently. Because as I wrote: It worked before. Actually it didn’t work a few versions ago, then it worked, then it stopped working again.

So while the @FreeCAD people do awesome work with the software and for the FOSS CAD community as a whole, their build process seems to needs a revisit 😃
