Anyone remember Annie Haslam and Renaissance? They were a part of my teen years listening to Album Oriented Radio (AOR) ... I would get excited when one of their songs would come on - which was rare because they tended to be 8 minute long art-rock numbers. I listen to her now and think how she paved the way for Kate Bush, Stevie Nicks, even Heart - but her music is largely forgotten. And I just discovered that she is still out there singing and making music ... at 77! #rememberlegends #nowplaying #listenup #music #musicworld #mixtape #randomplay #nowhearthis #simsongs #anniehaslam #renaissance #carpetofthesun #70smusic

I never saw them but had a couple of their albums.

I did get to see Richard Thompson two years ago, and he’s still amazing.

I remember driving to the Chicago Theater to see Renaissance and Al DiMeola, double bill.

I never liked the title "Prog" or "Progressive Rock". But these prog people kept turning up in my life, wonderful folk.

My children liked prog.

Dave Stewart, he of Egg and etc. had a big influence on me. I'd started as a church organist....
