Also, I will say that "slop" has been a thing even before the AI regression. One of Google's examples is basically half of Youtube, and another of its examples is 100% of modern recipe sites. ​​

I'm kind of surprised that Google hasn't built a bot to scrape all of those SEO recipes and present them directly in the search page so no one even needs to click on the SEO results
