AI6YR BenProselytized by a 7-8 year old yesterday, who came up to me when I was out doing radio/bicycling things, and handed me some religious literature. Was out on a walk with 6-7 of his siblings and parents. They apparently train them early... I took his handout so he could meet his quota 😢. However, maybe I was able to do a bit of my own outreach, he told me as he was walking away how much he liked my bicycle... (I probably convinced him more that it would be cool to go bicycling places than he convinced me to convert to his parents particular-brand-of-Christian-fundamentalism.)
(the handout, which just went into the trash, was basically a card about how "EVEN THOUGH YOU THINK YOU ARE CHRISTIAN/ARE BAPTIZED/GO TO CHURCH, YOU ARE GOING TO H*LL BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT THE RIGHT KIND OF CHRISTIAN")

🚫👑@murodegrizeco @ai6yr it's not really about converting others. Proselyting is incredibly inefficient. It's about illustrating the us-vs-them dogma to the missionary, further isolating them from the "evil outside"

I humored him for the discussion and was trying to guess what his deal was, since the discussion started nonreligious, but was obviously pushing in that direction.
When he started talking about the "name of God", it clicked that he was JW. Like you, I grabbed the card to help him hit his quota.
