i'm buying a few things like dried soup mix, instant oatmeal, toilet paper and anything else that can get me through a month of a general strike

i've been hoping people would wake up sooner than now, but a general strike where no one buys anything for a week or a month and takes all their sick time at work may wake the oligarchs the fuck up

just a suggestion...

@samiamsam I’ve been told that if the railroads were to go on strike, some power plants would run out of coal in just a few days. Fuel distributors will run out of gasoline in a week. If there’s a general strike, and the railroaders get on board, we’ll be back in the Stone Age within a month.

@tim @samiamsam During the last contract negotiations, I gotta say... the railroad unions were VERY close to going on strike, even though it would be breaking the law (thanks to the Railway Labor Act). People are to the point where they’re willing to strike even if it might mean going to jail.
