Sometimes it seems like this tech stuff is just a jealous god that can't bear your giving attention to anything else. If it was the passing girl meme, she'd already have him by the nose ring.

When is an HTML not an HTML? When #Nextcloud decides it so…

@teledyn html is text. In your case the file Extension changes, or? Same behaviour on different browsers?

@rakekniven

Before, an html-file link on Messenger responds asking to open in iReal, ie delivered as a download.

Today, as in that screenshot, it is text. This happened last year and there was a fix, but I don't recall what it is! Somewhere is a #Nextcloud setting to say 'html' is NOT text.

So to answer: the webapp and official NC mobile apps work fine, login, click, it downloads. But on either, clicking on a shared link does not.

https://nas.teledyn.com/s/JtggMFbi5tPYBqT is the link, a few #ireal xmas tunes.

@rakekniven btw, any #musicians who clicked that into their @iRealPro #iReal and just happen to be near #WychwoodBarns' Saturday Farmers Market when #AllAngelsJazzBand are there, be sure to bring your horn…
@teledyn @iRealPro Don't get that joke ...
@rakekniven yeah, sorry didn't realize it was "mentioned only" and this link leads to a book of christmas chord charts meant to be used this morning at our market gig :)
@teledyn Used given link on FF and got a nice 20kb html file

@rakekniven thanks for testing!

Was that using the #Nextcloud link? (nas) or was that the #OCIS link? (oc)

Also, using mobile? I found after the fix the oc.teledyn link would work fine on mobile, which of course gets me back in 'business', but NC was still a 7k txt file when I tested it; if you're also on mobile, perhaps Firefox cached something on mine, who knows, but it means it might be all clear on NC too!
