@gamingonlinux I'll take corporate lies for 500, Alex.

@gamingonlinux

“Microsoft Security”? the same team that can’t even verify their own Microsoft Defender?

Attached: 2 images I am once again asking Microsoft Security to help the Microsoft Security team add themselves as a publisher on their Microsoft Defender Security Intelligence app, it's had no verified publisher for 6 months now - it's just teaching customers to accept unverified apps.

Cyberplace
@gamingonlinux A black hole always open to stealing your data.
@gamingonlinux pictures to send to linux users to give them an aneurysm
@gamingonlinux @lebout2canap They should indicate on the slide that it's said from the NSA point of view.
@gamingonlinux Is the kernel open source? I don't think so ... or they mean your data is "open" to Microsoft and their advertising company partners etc.
@gamingonlinux "open" as in "most vulnerable"? XD
@gamingonlinux If by 'open' they mean security gaps, then maayybee...
@gamingonlinux Ah, they finally got to the "Security and privacy" section of the talk
@gamingonlinux It's not April fools, microsoft 🤣
@gamingonlinux Only if its the most "open" operating system to steal your data
@gamingonlinux Yeah... corporate keynotes. I forget the verbiage they used, but a few years ago they basically said Windows kicked off the internet revolution in the 90's, coming just short of saying they invented it.
@slembcke @gamingonlinux We all remember installing third-party TCP/IP stacks on Windows because it didn't include any deep into the 90s. ;-)

@slembcke @gamingonlinux

iirc it was: "Windows95. Built for the internet"

which received the classic response: "Unix. Built the internet."

@gamingonlinux fake news.
@gamingonlinux where is that so we can sue them?
François Revol (@mmu_man) on X

SERIOUSLY @Microsoft? This is insulting… #Windows #TiedSale #BundledSale #Monopoly #BeOS #Linux

@gamingonlinux So open is fights against trying to report problems
@gamingonlinux truly one of the operating systems of all time
@gamingonlinux Open windows. Makes sense. They never quite close again.
@gamingonlinux they mean open to attacks right???
@gamingonlinux …………..what the actual hell
@gamingonlinux they are referring the security side 😂
@gamingonlinux Ohhhh I know this trick that corporations use, it's called "lying"
@gamingonlinux open to malware clearly. Not sure one would like to win this contest, though.
@gamingonlinux I believe the expression is "pull the other one"
@gamingonlinux I don't know if this is still true, but there was a time when the presence of a single externally accessible Windows machine on your network was enough to fail even the slackest of security reviews. "Open" indeed.

@gamingonlinux they spelled vulnerable wrong

or maybe that's a slide from the red team

@gamingonlinux

But... ROTFL

Open your ass otherwise close your Windows

@gamingonlinux

"If Windows was an elevator, you'd be scared to use that elevator"

  • William Osman on a podcast recently (apparently)

@gamingonlinux I was so upset they took down the stream for this like 24 hours later, but it's back baby!

The deafening silence when Recall was shilled was glorious.

@gamingonlinux The Nazis are in and the BigLie is standard procedure now.
@gamingonlinux Still more opennthan Red Hat ©️ Enterprise Linux ™️

@gamingonlinux It's a trick just so we could say:

- "Open" my ass!

@gamingonlinux @cstross if you measure in CVEs quite correct.
@gamingonlinux It's certainly open to hackers!

@gamingonlinux

Microsoft is really bad at standup comedy.

@gamingonlinux *regarding security vulnerabilities
